Economic entities (such as companies and organisations) whose annual energy demand exceeds a specified threshold are legally required to engage at least one energy specialist who is independent in both employment and corporate affiliation. This energy specialist is authorised to participate in large enterprise energy audits, ensures full compliance with all relevant legal requirements, and provides ongoing professional support to ensure that the partner remains fully informed on all energy-related matters affecting their operations. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duties of the Energy Specialist<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Monitors changes in the client\u2019s energy consumption and oversees the implementation of energy efficiency measures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Assists in preparing the mandatory data reporting required under Section 22\/C of Act LVII of 2015 on Energy Efficiency, to be submitted to the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) by 30 June of the year following the reporting period. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Prepares a monthly report for the obligated economic operator, detailing their relevant activities and assessing the operator\u2019s energy consumption for the reporting month. This evaluation is carried out in the context of historical consumption data, investments, developments, and other relevant factors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Prepares an annual summary report by 15 May of the year following the reporting period, based on the monthly reports. This document outlines the energy efficiency improvements implemented and the energy savings achieved through the applied operational measures. The obligated economic operator publishes this report on its website by 31 May.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Acts as a professional observer and advisor in the conduct of regular energy audits, and supports the establishment and monitoring of an energy management system in accordance with the EN ISO 50001 standard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Provides recommendations for energy-efficient operational solutions and identifies opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Ensures that the energy savings achieved through implemented energy efficiency measures and applied operational practices are properly documented and reported.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Carries out tasks related to energy procurement, energy security, and energy efficiency as assigned within their area of responsibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Maintains records of data from sub-meters used to monitor energy processes and savings in relation to equipment and technological processes in accordance with the decree of the President of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH), and includes this information in the report referred to in point (d).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The responsibilities of the energy specialist are regulated by Section 21\/B of Act LVII of 2015 on Energy Efficiency, and by Sections 7\/A of Government Decree 122\/2015 (V.26.). <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
